I have just returned from our winter trip to Kleinwalsertal and already four new trips are planned for 2026. I love having adventures in the calendar. It gives something to look forward to and keeps that travel energy alive throughout the year.
Here is what is coming up for us.
A Camper Trip to the Dolomites and Camping Seiser Alm
In June me and my daughter are heading to the Dolomites with the camper. This will be our first long international camper trip together, which makes it extra exciting.

We will spend a week at Camping Seiser Alm. I actually found this campsite through TikTok and immediately thought it looked stunning. Surrounded by dramatic mountain scenery, with hiking trails starting almost at the campsite, it feels like the perfect place to explore nature with my daughter.
We considered booking a private bathroom at the campsite, but unfortunately they were already fully booked. So this trip will be back to shared facilities, which is part of the camper adventure anyway.
After Seiser Alm we will finish the trip near Merano at a mountain campsite. I am curious how the long drive will go with a toddler. I am planning to split the journey with an overnight stop halfway to make it more relaxed and manageable.
The Dolomites have been on my list for a long time. Combining hiking, mountain views and camper life feels like the perfect next step in our adventures.
Two Weeks in Zeeland at Camping De Paardekreek
During the summer holidays we are heading to Zeeland for two weeks. This time I am going with a friend who also has a daughter and who has a caravan. We will stay at Camping De Paardekreek and park next to each other, close to the playground. That is a win for the kids and a win for us.
Camping De Paardekreek is located directly by the Veerse Meer and offers a mix of water sports, family activities and relaxation. There is a large indoor and outdoor swimming pool, an indoor playground for rainy days, sports fields and plenty of entertainment during the summer season. For children it is a paradise of freedom. They can bike around, play outside all day and make holiday friends.

For us it also means something valuable. With two families together, we might even get a little bit of me time here and there. A quiet coffee in the morning sun or an evening walk by the water while the kids play nearby. Those small moments matter.
Zeeland in summer always has something special. Long beach days, salty air and sunsets over the water.
A Luxury Week in Texel
In September we are going back to Texel. This time not with the camper but in a luxury holiday house.
Texel feels familiar and comforting. We will visit the sheep farm, stop by the ice cream farm and spend time on the beach. I am also planning to kitesurf on the North Sea if the wind allows it.

A house instead of the camper means more space, more comfort and maybe a bit more sleep. It will be a beautiful way to close the travel season before autumn really sets in.
Looking Ahead
Having these trips planned makes me excited for the months ahead. From mountain adventures in the Dolomites, beach days in Zeeland and island life on Texel, 2026 already feels rich with experiences.
For now I am enjoying the transition into spring and summer, knowing that more adventures are waiting.
